From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Mount Willing was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Mount Willing post office opened in 1820.

We also found Mount Willing on a map titled Rand McNally Map of South Carolina (1911).
