Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Venango had an population of 249 people. This is an increase of 4.18% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 13.54% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Venango had a population of 239 people. This makes Venango the county's 14th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 239 people, the population of Venango decreased 17.01% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 288 people).

We originally found mention of Venango in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Venango was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Venango post office opened in 1849.

We also found Venango in the book titled Table of U.S. Post Offices in the United States (Jan. 1851).
