Time Zone: Cameron County lies in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time.

The community of Emporium is the Seat for Cameron County.

Cameron County was founded March 29, 1860. Cameron was created by taking area from Clinton, McKean, Elk and Potter Counties.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Cameron had a population of 4,447 people. This is a decrease of 12.48% since the last Census (which gave a population of 5,081 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Cameron represented 0.04% of the total population of Pennsylvania.
