While our initial data about Astral came from various goverment sources (GNIS, FIPS), we also found mention of Astral in various books, maps and other sources. When we find a mention, a fact or snippet, we add that information to our Gazetter.

We've created the following list to keep track of the sources that proved useful in adding to our knowledge about Astral. We hope that they will be useful to you.

Astral is contained in a comprehensive list of Post Offices that was created by Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<1>

From that list:

The Astral post office opened in 1884 and had closed by 1886.
