Do you know of Switzerland ???

This page is an orphan - a placeholder until we can discover more about Switzerland. When we encounter a name that is new to us, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope that we'll discover more information in the future. Such is the case with Switzerland.<1>

Our sources for Switzerland (see Mentions and References below) indicate that it was a community with a post office by the same name. Unfortunately our sources aren't clear about the location of Switzerland other than they indicate that Switzerland would be found somewhere in Marion County, Oregon.

From the Blevins / Hellbock List: The post office opened  in 1887 and closed  in 1897.

Communities Also Named Switzerland ...

We found two communities that share the name Switzerland.

Within Oregon, the name Switzerland is unique.

Beyond Oregon, we know of another two communities that are located throughout in the United States.
