Stauffer would have been located within present day Lake County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Stauffer, you might consider that their post office opened in 1913.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Stauffer is 4,570 feet [1,393 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the altitude of Stauffer is about ¾ mile [or ~1½ km] above sea level.

Time Zone: The area where Stauffer was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Stauffer was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>
