Time Zone: Columbia County lies in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time.

The community of Saint Helens is the Seat for Columbia County.

Columbia County was founded in 1854 and was created by taking area from Washington County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Columbia had a population of 52,614 people. This is an increase of 6.61% since the last Census (which gave a population of 49,351 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Columbia represented 1.29% of the total population of Oregon.
