The town of Yeager is located in Hughes County<1> (at the time of its founding, Yeager was located in Indian Territory).

While we don't have a date for the founding of Yeager, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1902.

From the  Census Estimates for 2019, Yeager has a population of 72 people<3> (see below for details).

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Yeager had an population of 72 people. This is a decrease of 4% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 7.46% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Yeager had a population of 75 people. This makes Yeager the county's 11th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 75 people, the population of Yeager increased 11.94% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 67 people).

We originally found mention of Yeager in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Yeager was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Yeager post office opened in 1902.

We also found Yeager on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Oklahoma (1911).
