The town of Sweetwater is primarily located in Beckham County<1>. A portion of Sweetwater extends into Roger Mills County.



While we don't have a date for the founding of Sweetwater, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

From the  Census Estimates for 2019, Sweetwater has a population of 83 people<2> (see below for details).

Sweetwater is 2,170 feet [661 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the elevation of Sweetwater is about ½ mile above sea level.

Population Details ...

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Sweetwater had an population of 83 people. This is a decrease of 4.6% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 18.57% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Sweetwater had a population of 87 people. This makes Sweetwater the county's 5th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 87 people, the population of Sweetwater increased 24.29% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 70 people).
