At the time of the 2010 Census, Lindsay had a population of 2,840 people (or 10.3% of the total population of Garvin County). This makes Lindsay the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Lindsay represents 0.08% of the total population of Oklahoma (which has 3,751,351 people), making it the state's 116th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 2,840 people, the population of Lindsay decreased 1.7% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 2,889 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Lindsay was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>
