Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Edmond had an population of 94,097 people. This is an increase of 15.59% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 37.74% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Edmond had a population of 81,405 people (or 11.33% of the total population of Oklahoma County). This makes Edmond the county's most populous community.

The population of Edmond represents 2.17% of the total population of Oklahoma (which has 3,751,351 people), making it the state's 6th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 81,405 people, the population of Edmond increased 19.16% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 68,315 people).

We originally found mention of Edmond in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Edmond was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Edmond post office opened in 1889.

We also found Edmond in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
