So far, we found very little information about Wheelock. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Wheelock would have been located within present day Summit County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Wheelock, you might get a feel for it by knowing that the earliest mention that we've found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Wheelock is 1,040 feet [317 m] above sea level.<3>.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Wheelock was in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).

We also found Wheelock on a map titled George#&160;F. Cram Map (1901).
