At the time of the 2010 Census, Cleveland had a population of 396,815 people (which is 31.05% of the total population of Cuyahoga County). This makes Cleveland the county's most populous community.

The population of Cleveland represents 3.44% of the total population of Ohio (which has 11,536,504 people), making it the state's 2nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 396,815 people, the population of Cleveland decreased 17.05% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 478,403 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Cleveland was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>

From that list, the Cleveland post office opened in 1805.
