So far, we found very little information about Pleasant Dale. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

While we don't have the exact location of Pleasant Dale , we believe that it would have been located within present day Wyandot County<2>.

The pronunciation of Pleasant Dale: PLEH-zuhnt<3>

While we don't have a date for the founding of Pleasant Dale, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1839.

Time Zone: The area where Pleasant Dale was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Ohio communities named Pleasant Dale: This one is located in Wyandot County and the other is located in Hardin County.

We originally found mention of Pleasant Dale in the GNIS. For more information, see the Referenced GNIS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Pleasant Dale was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Pleasant Dale post office opened in 1839.

We also found Pleasant Dale in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
