The community of Upper Sandusky is the Seat for Wyandot County.

Wyandot County was founded February 3, 1845. Wyandot was created by taking area from Marion, Crawford and Hardin Counties.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Wyandot had a population of 21,796 people. This is a decrease of 3.62% since the last Census (which gave a population of 22,615 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Wyandot represented 0.2% of the total population of Ohio.
