From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for New Alexander was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>
From that list, the New Alexander post office opened in 1829.
We also found New Alexander in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
