At the time of the 2010 Census, Junction City had a population of 819 people. This makes Junction City the county's 5th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 819 people, the population of Junction City has remained roughly the same as the 2000 Census (which had a count of 818 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Junction City was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Junction City post office opened in 1872.

We also found Junction City in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
