Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Hemlock had an population of 145 people. This is a decrease of 6.45% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 2.11% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Hemlock had a population of 155 people. This makes Hemlock the county's 10th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 155 people, the population of Hemlock increased 9.15% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 142 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Hemlock was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Hemlock post office opened in 1872.

We also found Hemlock in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
