So far, we found very little information about Gardner. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Gardner to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have the exact location of Gardner , we believe that it would have been located within present day Noble County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Gardner, you might consider that their post office opened in 1839.

Time Zone: The area where Gardner was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

If Gardner still existed, it would have been in the (740) area code.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Gardner was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Gardner post office opened in 1839.

We also found Gardner in the book titled List of Post Offices in the United States (1870).
