At the time of the 2010 Census, Gahanna had a population of 33,248 people. This makes Gahanna the county's 5th most populous community.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Gahanna was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Gahanna post office opened in 1849.

We also found Gahanna in the book titled Table of U.S. Post Offices in the United States (Jan. 1851).
