Carroll County was founded January 1, 1833. Carroll was created by taking area from Columbiana, Stark, Harrison, Jefferson and Tuscarawas Counties.
From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Carroll had a population of 26,984 people. This is a decrease of 6.42% since the last Census (which gave a population of 28,836 people in 2010).
At the time of the 2010 Census, Carroll represented 0.25% of the total population of Ohio.
