Tuscarawas County was founded March 15, 1808 and was created by taking area from Muskingum County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Tuscarawas had a population of 91,993 people. This is a decrease of 0.64% since the last Census (which gave a population of 92,582 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Tuscarawas represented 0.8% of the total population of Ohio.
