So far, we found very little information about Brookton. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

While we don't have the exact location of Brookton , we believe that it would have been located within present day Noble County<2>.

The pronunciation of Brookton: BROOK-tuhn<3>

While we don't have a date for the founding of Brookton, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1896.

Time Zone: The area where Brookton was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Brookton was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Brookton post office opened in 1896.

We also found Brookton on a map titled George#&160;F. Cram Map (1901).
