The Commemorative Quarter for Ohio

Do you know of Avondale ???

When we encounter a name that is new to us, we add it to our Gazetteer - that's the case with Avondale.

This entry has been created as a placeholder - we hope to develop more information in the future.

This entry could be in error. It might be that our source had a mis-print, was simply wrong or we made a transcription error while referencing it. We hope to learn more about Avondale in the future.

We found mention of Avondale as a post office, but can't determine its location - other than being located somewhere in Coshocton County, Ohio.

It's common that the post office is named the same as the community in which it's located (although that's not always case). In this case, we can't match this post office to any of the existing communities in our gazetteer.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Avondale, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.
