Unfortunately our sources aren't clear about the location of Algonquin other than they indicate that Algonquin would be found somewhere in Carroll County, Ohio. From the Blevins / Hellbock List: The post office opened in 1851 and closed in 1907. Communities Also Named Algonquin ...We found seven communities that share the name Algonquin. Within Ohio, the name Algonquin is unique. Beyond Ohio, we know of another seven communities that are located throughout in the United States and Canada. Of these seven communities, six are located in the United States and one is in Canada.
