Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Esperance had an population of 326 people. This is a decrease of 5.51% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 14.21% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Esperance had a population of 345 people. This makes Esperance the county's 22nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 345 people, the population of Esperance decreased 9.21% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 380 people).

We originally found mention of Esperance in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Esperance was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

X2X - From that list, the Esperance post office opened in 1818.

We also found Esperance in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
