From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Castleton-on-Hudson was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Castleton-on-Hudson post office opened in 1926.

We also found Castleton-on-Hudson mentioned on a train schedule titled New York Central Railroad Time Table (June 1941).
