This is a decrease of 5.71% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 11.51% since the 2000 Census). At the time of the 2010 Census, Avoca had a population of 946 people. This makes Avoca the county's 36th most populous community. With a 2010 count of 946 people, the population of Avoca decreased 6.15% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 1,008 people).
