How Far From Pavlak to ...

We spend a lot of time looking through Gazetteers, Almanacs & Directories that were published in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Many of the Gazetteers include the distance from a community such as Pavlak to various places of note, such as the White House.

With a nod to our favorite Gazetteers and using the location of where the historic<3> community of Pavlak once stood, the straight-line distance<4> beginning in Pavlak and extending to:

• Elko, which is the Seat of Elko County, lies 71 miles [114.3 km]<4> to the south southwest. If you could drive a straight line from Pavlak to Elko, with an average speed<5>of 63 miles [101.4 km] per hour, it would take less than two hours to make the trip.
