How Far From Hot Creek to ...
We spend a lot of time looking through Gazetteers & Almanacs that were published in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Many of the Gazetteers include the distance from a community such as Hot Creek to various places of note, such as the White House.
With a nod to our favorite Gazetteers and using the location of where the historic<2> community of Hot Creek once stood, the straight-line distance<3> beginning in Hot Creek and extending to:
- Tonopah, which is the Seat of Nye County, lies 114 miles [183.5 km]<3> to the west. If you could drive a straight line from Hot Creek to Tonopah, with an average speed<4>of 63 miles [101.4 km] per hour, it would take about two hours to make the trip.
