Welcome to Coaldale (aka 'Coaldale Junction') ...So far, we found very little information about Coaldale. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Coaldale to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have a date for the founding of Coaldale, you might consider that their post office opened in 1904. While the community is gone, the present day location for Coaldale is 4,580 feet [1,396 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the altitude of Coaldale is about ¾ mile [or ~1½ km] above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Coaldale was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time Coaldale would have been located in the (775) area code. The community of Coaldale has also been called Coaldale Junction.
