Welcome to Browns ...
So far, we found very little information about Browns. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>
We've added Browns to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Browns - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Browns, please Contact Us.
While we don't have the exact location of Browns , we believe that it would have been located within present day Washoe County<2>.
While we don't have a date for the founding of Browns, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.
Time Zone: The area where Browns was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time
Browns would have been located in the (775) area code.
Communities Also Named Browns ...
Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Nevada communities named Browns: This one is located in Washoe County and the other is located in Humboldt County.
Beyond Nevada, there are 33 communities that are also named Browns - they are located in Alabama (2), Arkansas, California, Georgia (5), Illinois (2), Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan (2), Missouri (2), New Jersey, Ohio (3), Pennsylvania (4), Tennessee (2), Virginia and West Virginia (2).
