When the people of Berlin referred to themselves (known as a demonym), they are believed to have used Berliner<3> While the community is gone, the present day location for Berlin is 6,750 feet [2,057 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Berlin is about 1¼ mile [or ~2 km] above sea level.
