Pembroke is located on the west coast of Nova Scotia (on the Minas Basin, at the northeast end of the Bay of Fundy).

While we don't have a date for the founding of Pembroke, you might get a feel for it by knowing that the earliest mention that we've found (so far) was on a map dated 1897.

In this case, the 902 code has been Overlayed with the 782 area code. New phone numbers in the Pembroke area will be assigned with one of these codes: 902 or 782.
