Welcome to Tokay ...So far, we found very little information about Tokay. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Tokay to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. If you can help us with Tokay, please Contact Us. Tokay would have been located within present day Socorro County<2>. While we don't have a date for the founding of Tokay, you might consider that their post office opened in 1917. While the community is gone, the present day location for Tokay is 5,090 feet [1,551 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the elevation of Tokay is about 1 mile [or ~1½ km] above sea level.
