Welcome to Telles ...

So far, we found very little information about Telles. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Telles to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Telles - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Telles, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Telles , we believe that it would have been located within present day Dona Ana County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Telles, you might consider that their post office opened in 1894.

Time Zone: The area where Telles was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Telles was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Telles post office opened in 1894.

We also found Telles on a map titled Rand McNally Map of New Mexico (1925).
