So far, we found very little information about Rosebud. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Rosebud was located in northeast New Mexico.
Rosebud would have been located within present day Harding County<2>.
The location of Rosebud has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3>
While we don't have a date for the founding of Rosebud, you might consider that their post office opened in 1909.
While the community is gone, the present day location for Rosebud is 4,820 feet [1,469 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Rosebud is about 1 mile [or ~1½ km] above sea level.
Time Zone: The area where Rosebud was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time
Note: If you travel east from Rosebud, you will leave Mountain Time and cross into the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT).
If Rosebud still existed, it would have been in the (575) area code.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Rosebud was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>
From that list, the Rosebud post office opened in 1909.
