While we don't have a date for the founding of Mentmore, you might consider that their post office opened in 1916. While the community is gone, the present day location for Mentmore is 6,420 feet [1,957 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the elevation of Mentmore is about 1¼ mile [or ~2 km] above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Mentmore was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time Note: If you leave Mentmore and travel west, you will leave Mountain Time and cross into the Mountain Standard Time Zone (MST).
