Miscellaneous References and Mentions

While our initial information about Los Alamos came from various goverment sources (GNIS, FIPS), we also found mention of Los Alamos in various books and other sources.

We've created the following list to keep track of the sources that proved useful in adding to our knowledge about Los Alamos. We hope that they will be useful to you.

Note: Initially, we were careless about keeping track of where our Los Alamos data came from. The following list of references and mentions is incomplete.

Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895)
Published by Rand McNally & Co.

A note taken from the Shipper's Guide for Los Alamos:
Services available in 1895: had a Post Office, no Railroad mentioned

Los Alamos is contained in a comprehensive list of Post Offices that was created by Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<1>

Both the GNIS and FIPS databases contain entries for Los Alamos. See our Misc Page for Los Alamos for more information.
