Welcome to Dorsey ...

So far, we found very little information about Dorsey. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Dorsey to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Dorsey - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Dorsey, please Contact Us.


While we don't have the exact location of Dorsey , we believe that it would have been located within present day Colfax County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Dorsey, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

Time Zone: The area where Dorsey was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time

Dorsey would have been located in the (575) area code.

Communities Also Named Dorsey ...

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 11 communities that are also named Dorsey - they are located in Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina and Ohio.
