Welcome to Charlotte ...So far, we found very little information about Charlotte. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Charlotte to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have the exact location of Charlotte , we believe that it would have been located within present day DeBaca County<2>. While we don't have a date for the founding of Charlotte, you might consider that their post office opened in 1907. When the people of Charlotte referred to themselves (known as a demonym), they are believed to have used Charlottean<3> Time Zone: The area where Charlotte was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time Charlotte would have been located in the (575) area code.
