While we don't have a date for the founding of Ragan, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was on a map dated 1895.

From the  Census Estimates for 2019, Ragan has a population of 37 people<3> (see below for details).

Ragan is 2,320 feet [707 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Ragan is about ½ mile above sea level.

Time Zone: Ragan lies in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Ragan had an population of 37 people. This is a decrease of 2.63% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 19.57% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Ragan had a population of 38 people. This makes Ragan the county's 6th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 38 people, the population of Ragan decreased 17.39% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 46 people).
