At the time of the 2010 Census, Osceola had a population of 880 people (or 16.28% of the total population of Polk County). This makes Osceola the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Osceola represents 0.05% of the total population of Nebraska (which has 1,826,341 people), making it the state's 129th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 880 people, the population of Osceola decreased 4.45% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 921 people).
