From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Haynes was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Haynes post office opened in 1908.

We also found Haynes on a map titled Shell Oil Road Map for North Dakota (1949).
