The location of Walsh has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Walsh, you might consider that their post office opened in 1908. While the community is gone, the present day location for Walsh is 2,310 feet [704 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Walsh is about ½ mile above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Walsh was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time The location where Walsh once stood is in the (336) area code.
