Welcome to Triangle ...So far, we found very little information about Triangle. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Triangle to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. The location of Triangle has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Triangle, you might consider that their post office opened in 1878. While the community is gone, the present day location for Triangle is 720 feet [219 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Triangle was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time If Triangle still existed, it would have been in the (704) & (980)<5> area codes. Communities Also Named Triangle ...Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two North Carolina communities named Triangle: This one is located in Lincoln County and the other is located in Wake County.
