Welcome to Triangle ...

So far, we found very little information about Triangle. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Triangle would have been located within present day Lincoln County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Triangle, you might consider that their post office opened in 1878.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Triangle is 720 feet [219 m] above sea level.<3>.

Time Zone: The area where Triangle was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

Adding Triangle to Our Gazetteer ...

We originally found mention of Triangle in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found (so far) for Triangle was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Triangle post office opened in 1878. The Triangle post office closed in 1903.
