Welcome to Findon ...So far, we found very little information about Findon. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Findon to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. The location of Findon has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Findon, you might consider that their post office opened in 1892. While the community is gone, the present day location for Findon is 5,500 feet [1,676 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Findon is about 1 mile [or ~1¾ km] above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Findon was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time The location where Findon once stood is in the (406) area code.
