Welcome to Dogtown ...So far, we found very little information about Dogtown. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Dogtown to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. The location of Dogtown has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While the community is gone, the present day location for Dogtown is 2,320 feet [707 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Dogtown is about ½ mile above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Dogtown was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time If Dogtown still existed, it would have been in the (406) area code. Communities Also Named Dogtown ...Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Montana communities named Dogtown: This one is located in Blaine County and the other is located in Gallatin County.
