Toole County was founded in 1914. Toole was created by taking area from Hill and Teton Counties. From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Toole had a population of 4,736 people. This is a decrease of 11.36% since the last Census (which gave a population of 5,343 people in 2010). At the time of the 2010 Census, Toole represented 0.54% of the total population of Montana.
