The location of Cascade has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<2>


While we don't have a date for the founding of Cascade, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

From the  Census Estimates for 2019, Cascade has a population of 680 people<3> (see below for details).

Cascade is 3,410 feet [1,039 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Cascade is about ¾ mile [or ~1 km] above sea level.

Time Zone: Cascade lies in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time

Population Details ...

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Cascade had an population of 680 people. This is a decrease of 0.73% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 16.97% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Cascade had a population of 685 people. This makes Cascade the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Cascade represents 0.07% of the total population of Montana (which has 989,415 people), making it the state's 72nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 685 people, the population of Cascade decreased 16.36% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 819 people).
